This is the PIMC's annual drive to see the balloons at the Thurston Classic. Along the way, we will stop for a hot dog at Eddie's Hot Dogs and a custard at Hank's frozen custard before we drive on to watch the balloons.

Saturday, June 14, 2025, 1:00 p.m., at Camp Notre Dame, 400 Eaton Road, Fairview, PA

This is the PIMC's annual summer picnic. Click HERE for particulars on Camp Notre Dame. We will gather around 1:00 p.m., with a drive leaving around 2:00. We plan on eating around 3:00 ish. The club will provide hot dogs, chips and bottled water. Everyone must bring a 'dish to share' with the group. When you sign up for the picnic in the member forum, please list the food item you plan on bringing. BYOB is ok. There are refrigerators available to store your dish while we are on the drive. Hot dishes can be plugged in. The cost is $10 per person. If you make only one event this season...this is the most fun! PLEASE sign up by June 12th.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Experience the heart-pounding thunder of the PVGP Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. If you are looking for speed, muscle and thunder, this is the place to be. Since 2004, racers from all over the country have come to the 2.8-mile purpose-built track 40 miles northwest of Pittsburgh for fierce competition between the legends of the 60s and early 70s, including Mustangs, Corvettes, Jaguars, BMWs, Porsches and Alfa Romeos, to name a few.

Summer trip to Miatas at the Gap

August 6-12, 2025.

We are planning a trip to Miatas at the Gap. It will be a six day trip that will include many activities and enjoying some of the best driving roads around. Leaving Erie on August 6th for a two day drive to Tellico Plains, TN. On the way down we will experience some of the most interesting roads around. BBQ and ice cream stops will be included! We will be staying at the Mountain View Cabins from August 7th departing the morning of August 12th. We have several events planned: Blue Ridge Train ride, MATG, a day trip to Georgia and Bald River Falls.

Canada drive/picnic, eh?

This is the Niagara Peninsula Miata Club's annual summer picnic.  It will be a day trip with an optional overnight stay. It's always fun to visit our friend's up north. Ice cream and pizza may be part of this trip.

Our 10th annual end of summer drive to Combine Brother’s for lunch. We plan to be at Combine around 1:00 p.m. Following lunch there will be a stop for home made ice cream at Handel's.

Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Lets Party ! '" Robin Williams

 

The 2025 Miata Party season began Saturday May 17 with a medium drive along a few highways mixed with many byways in Erie, Warren, Venango, and Crawford County. Six cars departed on an 88 mile trek through green fields and forests ending in Titusville, where we were joined by another. A leisurely lunch followed at Fat Chads. The volatile weather missed us until FIVE MILES from the end when the call went over the radios to pause and raise the tops. Our kind and benevolent Drive Judge ruled the drive would be deemed "rain free" to start the season on a positive note.

 

Thanks to all who came out to the first drive of the year. We are looking forward to more driving fun through the summer and fall.
